The Fishercat review
The Fishercat is a fun game that may seem quite simple at first but gets quite challenging as you progress through it. You can download it for free for your Android phone or tablet from Google Play.
Catch’Em All
Just like you may have assumed, based on the game title, in Fishercat, you play as a cat and try to catch as many fish as you can. There are numerous locations for you to explore with more than 150 fish kinds to discover. Not all of them are easy to find, let alone capture, so it takes dedication to become a master fishercat who has caught at least one specimen of all fish kinds. Of course, you don’t just catch all those fish for nothing, as you can place them in aquariums and create your own underwater worlds.
Sometimes Less Is More
The Fishercat doesn’t really have a storyline, which may be seen as a downside by some players. However, crafting a good storyline would most likely require The Fishercat to be structured in a much more restricting way, letting missions and the respective rewards guide you through the game. Having little to no story, The Fishercat can focus on making fishing fun and rewarding to deliver a great gameplay experience based on exploration as opposed to guided progress. We think that being able to play The Fishercat without being pressured by numerous objectives and missions is a good trade-off for the missing storyline.
Visual Fun
The Fishercat features rather simplistic yet charming and adorable graphics. They help maximize the game’s initial appeal and make the gameplay a lot more enjoyable. The animations are smooth and well-designed. Combined with the audio effects, they make the in-game transitions and events look quite realistic. Overall, the visuals in The Fishercat work really well with the gameplay, creating a fun and memorable environment that can be enjoyed by just about anyone.
Great
The Fishercat proves that a game does not have to rely on complexity to be fun and immersive. The barebone concept of simply catching fish is only expanded by a few extra possibilities, such as visiting your personal island or placing your caught fish in aquariums. Yet, The Fishercat is definitely capable of capturing your attention for a while, regardless of whether you intend to catch every single kind of fish in the game or play a low-key, relaxing game after a stressful day at work.
