Jurassic World Alive review
Jurassic World Alive is a real-time location-based application that uses augmented reality (AR) and was released by Pokémon Go’s developer Ludia in 2018. Download Jurassic World Alive to see dinosaurs on the streets of your city!
Grow Your Creature and Battle Against Others’
You belong to a Dinosaur Protection Group (DPG) and, consequently, try to save them from the second depopulation by all means possible. For this, you need to retrieve the DNA and grow some (or many) of the 100 dinosaur types in the lab for your own collection. Evolving a new dinosaur will require a certain number of DNA samples and cost you some gold. And if you want to level the creature up, get prepared to spend more. When you collect four types of dinos, you will become eligible to fight against other players’ beasts controlled by an AI in the Fallen Kingdom area.
Retrieve the DNA and Fight
As you start playing, you find yourself on a map (Google Maps are used) and see the spots (supply drops) with coins, darts, and cash. Dinosaurs will be walking nearby, and you need to take their DNA samples after you enjoy watching them roar or swing their tails. This is done by your drone that shoots darts into the creature's marked area to avoid a violation. The better you point, the more biological material you get, but remember that darts are finite. As you beat the other users’ beasts in the Fallen Kingdom, you are rewarded with coins and incubators.
Exclusive Graphics, Slower Interface
The app proves to be more stable than Pokémon Go; nonetheless, our Jurassic World Alive review has to mention that the interface and the gameplay are slower. However, the graphics are excellent, making the dinosaurs look exceptionally accurate and real, while the sounds are perfect. You can cooperate with the creatures which are hundreds of meters away, and, unlike in Pokémon Go, there are only a few reptiles around you on the map.
Great
You would love to download Jurassic World Alive to your iPad or Android device to see how detailed and animated the dinosaurs are. Handled so well, this app will be great entertainment for dinosaur lovers and hobbyist paleontologists together with those who enjoy battling other people. With its outstanding GPS option, Ludia transports you to a magic world with a mobile device to have lots of fun. Regretfully, Jurassic World Alive seems to focus on a pay-to-win model.
